As a Navy brat, my family moved numerous times in the US and abroad before putting down roots in Charleston, SC. I spent Summers traveling with my sister to our grandparents’ farm in rural Indiana, where I worked on the farm raising livestock and helping my grandfather, a veterinarian, on his calls.
After earning my BS in business from Babson College, I spent the next decade leading operations and finance teams for various companies across the coastal Carolinas. These businesses varied in nature from a tire recycling plant processing millions of tires annually, to an apparel company with dozens of retail and warehouse locations and hundreds of wholesale accounts. All demanded dynamic, resourceful leadership from me to better understand and serve customer needs, and to build sustainable, scalable operations.
While I was earning my MBA from UNC – Chapel Hill, it became clear that I would not be satisfied working for a larger company, working for someone else and building wealth for others. My next logical step became clear: buy a small business whose legacy I could build upon.
After successfully acquiring a company, I will relocate to the place of business, helping it continue to serve its customers and community well into the future.
